Take a connected set of photos
Prepare these views, using only safely accessible areas or an already removed component:
- The complete component, showing its overall shape and attached accessories.
- The full label straight on, followed by a closer image of small print.
- Each connector, port and mounting face that is safely visible.
- The machine or engine plate that identifies the equipment receiving the part.
- Any visible damage that explains what you are replacing.
Include a ruler next to a safely handled loose component when a dimension is useful. Keep the ruler in the same plane as the feature; a photograph still does not replace a checked measurement or drawing.
Preserve the evidence
Use good lighting, keep text in focus and avoid glare. Send original files when possible. Do not erase labels, replace digits, redraw connectors or use an AI-enhanced image as the only evidence. Send an additional close-up instead. Mark a drawing or copied seller photograph as reference material so it is not confused with your own old part.
Name each image with the request line and view, such as line-01-label and line-01-connector. Keep different parts in separate groups. Our quotation review needs to know which photo belongs to which request line.
Explain what the images cannot show
Tell us about unreadable characters, missing labels and measurements you could not obtain. Similar appearance does not confirm material, electrical specification, software or interchangeability.
